NYC Steam Line Survey
We took a trip up to New York City last week to inspect a section of underground steam piping to see if our #condufill technology
Working with Steam Management, Inc., TST will measure, design, fabricate and install custom-made Removable Insulation Covers (RIC) on steam pipe fittings and heating equipment at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. As part of an ongoing Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) with Energy Services Group, LLC, the installation of TST’s removable, reusable insulation blankets will reduce heat losses and save money as our insulation blankets can be removed and reinstalled when maintenance or repairs are necessary on insulated valves, strainers and other heating equipment. In addition to insulation blankets, TST will install conventional pipe insulation on bare piping and fittings in many of the same mechanical spaces and boiler plants at the hospital. This project marks the 25th unique VA Medical Center that TST has performed energy-saving insulation upgrades in since 2009.
