TST Awarded Insulation Upgrade Project – Dept. of Veterans Affairs – VISN 5

Steam Management, Inc. (SMI) has awarded TST an energy-improvement insulation project that involves three (3) VA Medical Centers located in Clarksburg, WV, Baltimore, MD and Perry Point, MD. TST will measure, design, fabricate and install Removable Insulation Covers (RIC) on steam pipe fittings and equipment which will reduce heat losses and save energy throughout each facility for years to come. Having removable, reusable insulation will save the facility money over the years as the insulation can be removed and reinstalled when maintenance or repairs are necessary on the valves,  strainers and other equipment. In addition to Removable Insulation Covers, TST will also install ASJ fiberglass and PVC pipe covering on sections of bare steam pipe and fittings throughout many of the same buildings and tunnels at the facility.
