TST Awarded Insulation Project – Marine Corps Air Station – Havelock, NC

Steam Management, Inc. (SMI) has awarded TST an energy-improvement insulation project at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point located in Havelock, NC. TST will measure, design, fabricate and install hundreds of custom-made Removable Insulation Covers (RIC) on steam pipe fittings and equipment in over 25 buildings on the base which will reduce heat losses and save energy for many years to come. Having removable, reusable insulation will save the facility money over the years as the insulation can be removed and reinstalled when maintenance or repairs are necessary on the valves, strainers and other equipment. In addition to RICs, TST will also provide turnkey installation of ASJ fiberglass and PVC pipe covering on bare steam pipe and fittings throughout many of the same buildings, mechanical rooms and boiler plants. TST expects to being the project in June of 2020.
