In May of 2025, under contract with ECM Holding Group (Oshkosh, WI), TST measured, designed, fabricated, and installed over 350 custom-made Removable Insulation Covers (RIC) on steam pipe fittings and other heating equipment in 30 buildings, 2 steam pits and various underground tunnels at the CO Dept. of Human Services in Pueblo, CO.  Aside from significantly reducing heat loss throughout their system, having removable, reusable insulation will also save the state agency money over the years as it can be removed and reinstalled when maintenance and/or repairs are performed on valves, strainers, and other heating equipment. Permanent insulations are usually significantly damaged or destroyed when removed, which results in significant re-insulation costs following routine maintenance or repair. TST also installed several thousand linear feet of ASJ fiberglass pipe insulation on bare piping and PVC fitting covers on hundreds of elbows in many of the same mechanical spaces that received removable insulation blankets.
