US Naval Academy Facilities Tour & Lunch

Reducing Energy Consumption

Our Sales & Marketing Team attended the AEE/NCC US Naval Academy Facilities Tour & Lunch event last Friday in Annapolis, MD. This event focused on the Great Green Fleet Initiative and featured speakers from BGE, Constellation Energy and NAVFAC.

The group of speakers shared their ongoing efforts of reducing overall energy consumption at NSA, including a recent Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC) water conservation project. This project is reducing operating costs, improving sludge removal, reducing the amount of chemicals used, and reducing the overall energy consumption of the water plant. This project was the first in a series of Naval District Washington’s regional contributions toward the Great Green Fleet Initiative. TST looks forward to future energy conservation projects and hopes to contribute to the efforts in reducing energy consumption at NSA and other Navy bases in the region.

This event also featured a guided tour of the water treatment plant. Thanks to AEE for hosting a great event!
